Kampusiana, Jumpaonline – Prodi Teknik Lingkungan Fakultas Teknik Unpas memiliki fasilitas keran air siap minum yang sudah ada sejak tahun 2010. Fasilitas tersebut dipergunakan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan air minum di Fakultas Teknik. Akan tetapi, menurut ketua Prodi Teknik Lingkungan, fasilitas tersebut sudah tidak berfungsi karena debit air yang kecil menyebabkan keran air siap minum tidak cukup untuk memenuhi kebutuhan mahasiswa. Ditambah lagi saat pandemi fasilitas tersebut tidak terurus. Saat ini, debit air yang ada hanya bisa digunakan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan air isi ulang galon setiap prodi yang ada di Fakultas Teknik saja.
Evi, mantan ketua prodi Teknik Lingkungan, menjelaskan, hal yang melatarbelakangi tidak berfungsinya fasilitas keran air siap minum yaitu karena biaya perawatan tidak dapat mengimbangi pemasukan yang ada. Ia berencana untuk melakukan negosiasi terhadap harga jual air isi ulang siap minum.
“Kita memproduksi galon isi ulang yang harganya lebih murah dari yang lain, maka dari itu, perputaran bisnisnya tidak seimbang dengan perawatan yang dilakukan. Kita perlu melakukan negosiasi ulang terhadap harga jual,” ujar Evi.
Anni Rochaeni, ketua Prodi Teknik Lingkungan, mengharapkan fasilitas tersebut bisa berjalan dalam kurun waktu yang dekat dan kembali sesuai fungsinya agar dapat membantu mahasiswa dalam memenuhi kebutuhan air minum di kampus. Ia menambahkan, dengan berfungsinya fasilitas tersebut dapat mengurangi sampah plastik di kampus.
“Mungkin nanti habis lebaran karena dibutuhkan biaya untuk perawatan. Kami membutuhkan dukungan dari fakultas untuk mendukung fasilitas tersebut bagi mahasiswa,” ucap Anni.
Aldora, salah satu mahasiswa Fakultas Teknik Unpas, menyayangkan tidak berfungsinya keran air siap minum tersebut. Ia juga berharap fasilitas tersebut dapat digunakan kembali untuk mahasiswa.
“Pernah coba tapi airnya gak keluar, kalau bisa diperbaiki, karena untuk dimanfaatkan orang banyak,” ungkap Aldora.
