Bandung, Jumpaonline – Mahasiswa Ilmu Komunikasi (Ikom) Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) angkatan 2022 mengadakan acara pameran fotografi, seminar dan diskusi dalam rangka memeringati Dies Natalis Ikom UPI yang dilaksanakan pada tanggal 29 hingga 31 Mei 2023, bertempat di Museum Pendidikan Nasional (Mupenas) Jalan Dr. Setiabudhi No. 229, Kota Bandung. Pameran fotografi ini bertajuk “Nawasena: Merakit Asa untuk Bumi dan Manusia”.
Menurut Yusron Agustian, wakil ketua pelaksana mengungkapkan, selain pameran fotografi, rangkaian acara peringatan Dies Natalis ini juga mengadakan seminar dengan mengangkat tema “Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)” yang merupakan program pembangunan berkelanjutan yang di dalamnya terdapat 17 tujuan untuk menyejahterakan masyarakat Indonesia. Alasan mengambil tema tersebut karena masih banyak orang yang belum memiliki keberanian untuk berkecimpung di bidang pembangunan berkelanjutan.
“Kami sendiri menilai bahwa SDGs ini adalah tema yang sedang hangat, namun sayangnya masih banyak orang yang belum berani untuk bergerak di pembangunan berkelanjutan. Banyak orang yang masih belum tahu dan masih banyak orang yang belum sadar bahwa Indonesia memiliki potensi untuk terus berkembang,” tegas Yusron.
Yusron menambahkan, dengan diadakannya kegiatan ini diharapkan mampu meningkatkan kesadaran bahwa Indonesia masih memiliki 17 tujuan yang harus direalisasikan, khususnya bagi mereka yang memiliki pengaruh besar bagi pembangunan berkelanjutan.
“Diharapkan melalui pameran ini, masyarakat dan orang-orang yang memegang pengaruh besar dapat kembali sadar bahwa Indonesia memiliki potensi untuk terus berkembang pesat,” tambah Yusron.
Menurut Adara, mahasiswi Ilmu Ekonomi dan Keuangan Islam UPI sebagai peserta seminar sekaligus pengunjung pameran memaparkan ketertarikannya akan dunia jurnalistik yang menjadi alasan ia hadir di acara tersebut. Ia mengungkapkan, dengan berlangsungnya acara tersebut, dapat menambah wawasannya dan memotivasi dirinya.
“Nambah pengetahuan banget tadi tuh, terus ya dari diri sendiri juga bisa jadi pendorong untuk menyalurkan aspirasi juga,” pungkas Adara.
