Kampusiana, Jumpaonline – Himpunan Mahasiswa Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan dan Hukum (PKnH) mengadakan seminar internasional bertajuk “Culture as the power of the Nation di Aula Otto Iskandar Dinata Kampus IV Universitas Pasundan, Setiabudi pada Senin, 22 Mei 2023. Acara seminar tersebut dihadiri oleh mahasiswa prodi PPKn dan juga terbuka untuk umum.
Riska Apriani, ketua pelaksana, mengatakan, dalam memahami nilai budaya perlu adanya strategi untuk melestarikan dan mengembangkan budaya sebagai kekuatan bangsa perlu adanya perlindungan hukum, pendidikan budaya, partisipasi masyarakat, dan pemanfaatan teknologi informasi. Oleh karena itu, generasi muda harus memiliki tanggung jawab, selalu menjaga serta melestarikan budaya dalam pembangunan berkelanjutan, kesejahteraan sosial dan diplomasi internasional agar terciptanya perubahan yang lebih baik untuk bangsa.
“Jadi tujuan seminar ini tuh buat memberikan pemahaman yang lebih mendalam tentang pentingnya meningkatkan kesadaran bertanggung jawab apalagi kita kan sebagai generasi muda harus selalu menjaga dan melestarikan budaya supaya bisa membangun bangsa yang lebih baik lagi terus juga untuk lebih memahami bagaimana budaya ini bisa menjadi sumber kekuatan,” ujarnya.
Tegar Fadhilah, salah satu audiens seminar, menikmati keberlangsungan diskusi tersebut. Menurutnya, topik perbincangan dari seminar sangat penting untuk diimplementasikan oleh para mahasiswa. Ia juga menilai bahwa kebudayaan perlu dihargai, dilestarikan dan jangan sampai kebudayaan yang kita miliki direnggut oleh negara lain atau tergerus perkembangan zaman.
“Materi ini penting banget buat mahasiswa, sekarang kan zaman digitalisasi 5.0 terus udah zaman Artificial Intelligence (AI) jadi nilai kebudayaan semakin tergerus. Dengan adanya seminar ini bisa jadi tolak ukur bahwasannya kita gak boleh tutup mata kalau kebudayaan itu warning terbesar suatu negara dan kebudayaan ini perlu dilestarikan karena bagaimana pun tanpa budaya kita bukan siapa-siapa,” tutur Tegar.
