Kampusiana, Jumpaonline – Ilmu Komunikasi FISIP Unpas menyelenggarakan serangkaian kegiatan bertajuk “Festival Komunikasi Budaya Kearifan Lokal dan Pameran Fotografi” di Aula Suradiredja Kampus I Unpas Lengkong pada Kamis, 08 Juni 2023 hingga Jumat, 09 Juni 2023. Festival ini melibatkan mahasiwa Ilmu Komunikasi angkatan 2021 dan 2022.
Yulia Segarwati, dosen mata kuliah Komunikasi Budaya dan Kearifan Lokal, mengatakan, festival ini menjadi bagian dari rencana pembelajaran semester, yang tujuannya untuk mengenalkan bahkan melestarikan berbagai budaya yang ada di Indonesia. Tidak hanya itu, berbagai budaya mancanegara pun juga dimasukkan ke dalamnya.
“Jadi, agar para mahasiswa setelah memperoleh mata kuliah ini bisa mengenal atau bahkan melestarikan berbagai budaya yang ada. Kalau untuk melestarikan tentu untuk budaya lokalnya, tetapi kita juga memperkenalkan budaya yang lain mancanegara itu komunikasi lintas budaya. Kita kan tau kalau Indonesia itu Bhineka Tunggal Ika dari Sabang sampai Merauke, kemudian juga beragam macam suku, budaya, nanti kita perkenalkan terutama untuk melestarikan,” ujar Yulia.
Yulia juga menjelaskan bahwa kegiatan rutin ini kembali dilaksanakan setelah dua tahun terhambat Covid 19. Sebagai bentuk pembelajaran yang inovatif, kegiatan ini memiliki konsep yang berbeda-beda. Mulanya berupa kampanye dengan mengelilingi kampus dan kini dilaksanakan di aula dengan menampilkan empat kategori pertunjukan dan galeri fotografi.
“Yang ditampilkan itu ada empat, peragaan busana daerah, upacara adat, kuliner khas setiap daerah, dan speech contest. Kita mengacunya kesana aja karena semua ini dipelajari di materi komunikasi budaya, karena komunikasi budaya itu sangat luas sekali tidak hanya bahasa,” lanjutnya.
Azmi, mahasiswi Ilmu Komunikasi angkatan 2021, mengaku senang telah menjadi partisipan dalam kegiatan ini. Untuk pertama kalinya ia tampil sebagai peraga dengan memakai kebaya encim yang merupakan busana adat perempuan khas Betawi.
“Kalau aku pribadi senang, soalnya kita bisa tau kalau budaya-budaya Indonesia itu banyak. Aku kan dari Sunda, terus kebetulan ngebawain adat Betawi. Gini ternyata kalau adat Betawi,” ungkap Azmi.
Azmi juga menyampaikan harapannya agar kegiatan ini dapat terus dilaksanakan dengan persiapan yang lebih maksimal lagi.
“Semoga acaranya lebih bagus dari sekarang, kalau mau tahun depan diadakan lagi. Ke depannya, pagelarannya lebih maksimal lagi karena kalau ngeliat dari sini kayak molongpong [kosong -red], kurang meriah di aulanya,” pungkas Azmi.
