Kampusiana, Jumpaonline – Persatuan Nasional Aktivis 98 (PENA 98) mengadakan diskusi interaktif di Aula Suradiredja FISIP Unpas pada Kamis, 11 Mei 2023 bertajuk “Refleksi 25 Tahun Reformasi 98”. Dalam diskusi yang diikuti oleh mahasiswa Unpas, mereka diajak untuk menilik lebih dalam tentang politik Identitas.
Kunkunrat, pemateri sekaligus Pengamat Politik FISIP Unpas, mengatakan diskusi ini untuk mengetahui claim politik yang harus diketahui public dengan menyoroti politik identitas. Ia juga menambahkan bahwa Indonesia dibentuk tanpa membawa politik identitas, melainkan melalui kesepakatan, pluralitas, dan persatuan.
“PENA 98 merekam isu-isu dalam momentum politik yang tidak keluar dari rel demokrasi dan di antaranya dengan menyoroti politik identitas. Jika ada yang melakukan politik identitas dan diingatkan begitu saja tanpa diberi pemahaman, mereka akan tersinggung. Jadi harus diberi pemahaman secara objektif, yakni sebuah keyakinan yang mana Indonesia dibentuk tanpa membawa politik identitas melainkan dengan kesepakatan, pluralitas, dan persatuan,” ungkap Kunkunrat.
Ia juga menyebutkan selama isu politik identitas masih muncul, pemahaman politik di Indonesia masih harus ditingkatkan. Menurutnya, hal ini menjadi tugas untuk akademisi, lembaga-lembaga politik, dan tokoh masyarakat dalam memberi pemahaman tersebut.
“Selama isu politik identitas masih muncul, saya kira itu merupakan refleksi dalam pemahaman politik Indonesia yang masih harus ditingkatkan dan barangkali itu menjadi tugas kami (akademisi -red), dan tugas-tugas lembaga-lembaga politik serta tugas tokoh-tokoh masyarakat memberikan pemahaman kepada khalayak,” tambahnya.
Balqis, peserta diskusi, mengungkapkan diskusi ini sangat penting untuk mahasiswa yang akan menghadapi pemilu 2024. Melalui diskusi ini, ia mengutip bagaimana masyarakat harus memahami alur politik di Indonesia, khususnya pengetahuan mengenai politik identitas.
“Sebentar lagi kan kita akan menghadapi pemilu 2024, jadi sebagai mahasiswa yang akan melakukan pemilu untuk pertama kalinya, perlu membuat keputusan berdasarkan refleksi Reformasi 1998. Poin penting yang aku dapat itu adalah bagaimana kita sebagai masyarakat harus bisa memahami secara garis besar tentang alur sistem politik Indonesia,” ujar Balqis.
